The VoiceOfThePatient community is banding together to help one another better understand the illness we or our loved ones are facing. Our initial focus looks at common cancers. We will expand this list based on member input.
Breast Cancer
Approximately 12.8 percent of women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime (1)
Lung Cancer
Approximately 6.3 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with lung and bronchus cancer during their lifetime (3)
Colorectal Cancer
Approximately 4.2 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer during their lifetime (4)
Skin Cancer
Approximately 2.3 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with melanoma of the skin during their lifetime (5)
Pancreatic Cancer
Approximately 1.6 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during their lifetime (6)
